Yes! A new Heropotamus comic!
A few of you saw the Teaser I made a couple weeks ago (this one right here) – well, here goes!
It’s been nearly a year since the launch of this site… and I couldn’t get through the season without doing SOMETHING. For any new visitors… this comic was inspired by the popular Christmas novelty song “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas”. I introduced it to my daughters last year and this idea was born.
Due to other commitments, I’ve had to put the comic strip on haitus, but during these last few months, the masked river horse has been on my mind. I enjoy the characters but haven’t been convinced that the comic strip was the best format to tell the stories in… I’ve been playing around with different ideas like picture books or comics. SO I’m experimenting with this Christmas special Heropotamus in a mini-comic format.
I’ve got six of the ten (plus or minus one or two) ready to go – so I figured I’d start posting them. The plan is to have it finished before Christmas (ONLY TEN DAYS LEFT!!!!) let the fun begin!!!!
If you enjoy Heropotamus – please be encouraged to tell a friend about it. To stay up to date on the latest news – join the other fun-loving folks on the Heropotamus facebook page! Thanks for checking it out and I hope you enjoy this mini story!
Bonus:
For the webcomic lovers out there – you might notice something familiar in that first panel
And if you’re looking for more fun Christmas comic fun-ness, check out this comic by the one and only Jamie Cosley!
AWESOME. Keep it coming!!

Ha! Chuck. That is classic. I am so happy to see this back. if you produce a kids book I will buy 3 of them. I don’t care if it is the strip in a book or if it is a new story. heck, I am still waiting on Tshirts.

This is great. I heard the song on the radio the other day and hoped we would get a gift for Christmas.

Awesome. A friend and my department ended up playing the song a few weeks ago and I HAD to do something

Very nice to have Heropotamus back for a while, and what a way to bring it back with this strip.

Actually, I just wanted one with Hero on it. Wouldn’t mind it in purple but the black one will do.
